To update OpenSSL in Ubuntu
- Open the terminal and type the following command:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade - Make sure that you restart all the services which might load OpenSSL lib.
- To check if you have the lastet fix version of OpenSSL, use the following command
$ openssl version -a
- Check the “built on:” date should be newer or equal to April 2014 to consider it updated
